Biography

For more than ten years, I’ve had the privilege of working at several colleges and getting involved in the many parts of campus life that make a college community work. I’ve coached Speech and Debate, served on Academic Senate, co-coordinated an Honors Program, acted as the lead author for program review, and done all kinds of nerdy behind-the-scenes work that helps me serve as a reliable source of information and support for students. Having attended community college myself, I feel a special connection to community college students who are building their futures while balancing work, family, and all the other plot twists life can provide.

I have always loved college because they hum with energy, culture, and ambition. 69ÂÜÀò embodies those characteristics and then some. I’m especially proud to be part of their Communication Department, where students develop the skills and confidence to find their voices, form meaningful connections with other, and show the world that their ideas matter.

Outside the classroom, I have a soft spot for retro video games and the strange, wonderful worlds they create. Classics like The Legend of Zelda and Final Fantasy do an especially good job of eating up whatever little free time I have. I also enjoy going to professional women’s soccer games (go Wave FC!), where I have the opportunity to eat food and be loud (two things I’m good at).
