Internal Committees

The Associated Students of 69ÂÜÀò shall exercise their right to create an internal committee wherever they see fit. Standing committees will include the Budget and Finance Committee, the Activities Committee, the Outreach Committee, and the Bylaws Committee.

Chair: [email protected]

The Budget & Finance Committee serves as the financial backbone of our student government, ensuring transparency, accountability, and strategic alignment in the use of student funds. Members of the committee actively oversee and provide input in the creation of tentative budgets, helping to shape financial plans that reflect the diverse needs and priorities of our campus community.

We carefully assess funding requests submitted by clubs, programs, and initiatives, balancing fiscal responsibility with opportunities to enhance student life and engagement. In addition, the committee takes a leadership role in maintaining and refining the financial code, proposing amendments that strengthen compliance, equity, and clarity in the allocation of resources. Through these efforts, the committee upholds both the integrity of the organization and the long-term sustainability of student activities.

Committee Meetings

Time: Monday | 2-3 p.m.

Location: Learning Resource Commons 145

The Activities Committee is where ideas come to life! Together, we brainstorm and plan events that bring our campus community together. We review budgets for each event to make sure our resources are used effectively, and we create opportunities for all students to get involved. This committee is also a welcoming space where students can share their ideas, collaborate with us, and help shape fun, engaging experiences on campus.

Committee Meetings

Time: Tuesday | 2-3 p.m.

Location: Learning Resource Commons 145

Chair: [email protected]

The Outreach Committee works to make all students aware of events happening on West Valley's Campus. To do so, we work to serve the diverse student body and meet their needs when it comes to accessing information. We work to create flyers, Instagram posts, plan events with the Activities Committee, and monitor student engagement to ensure successful events.

Committee Meetings

Time: Wednesday | 2-3 p.m.

Location: Learning Resource Commons 145

Chair: [email protected]

The Bylaws Committee is responsible for reviewing, revising, and updating the rules and regulations that guide student government. We carefully read through bylaws, make revisions when needed, and ensure they stay current to reflect the needs of our student body. This committee works to keep our governing documents clear, fair, and responsive, so that student government can best serve and represent all students.

Committee Meetings

Time: Monday | 4-5 p.m.

Location: Learning Resource Commons 145

Chair: [email protected]

The Resolution Committee meets once a month to review, draft, and advance the official statements of the Associated Student Body to 69ÂÜÀò. It is the Committee’s goal to draft solutions to student issues and work with the school to understand points of concern.

Committee Meetings

Time: Announced by Chair monthly

Location: Learning Resource Commons 145
