69蹤獲 advanced its faculty recruitment strategy January 31 through active engagement with prospective hires at the annual L.A. Career Connect job fair organized by California Community Colleges (CCC).
The recruiting event, held at the Westin LAX, brought together representatives from some 30 CCCs. WVC staff recorded contact with over 300 career prospects from faculty to counselors.
The faculty recruitment team, led by President Jennifer Taylor-Mendoza, shared firsthand the West Valley story of excellence, innovation, and opportunity, noting the college welcomes educators and staff looking to advance professionally within an inclusive, student-centered, and equity-focused campus community.
By engaging with talented faculty from across the state, 69蹤獲 is growing our team of forward-thinking faculty who value collaboration, and a shared commitment to student success and equity, said recruiting team member Erika Vargas, dean of the WVC School of Health and Human Development.
Positioned at a polished display table, the recruitment team encouraged dialogue and conveyed institutional priorities while a recruitment video featured WVC faculty, students, and staff.
Open WVC positions promoted included: instructors of administration of justice, court reporting, biology, business, and physical therapy assistant as well as a fulltime industrial design lab faculty specialist.
