All College Day 2025, held in 69’s newly renovated Campus Center, brought together faculty, staff, and administrators to envision the future. Opening remarks from Chancellor Bradley Davis celebrated the launch of Oak Bistro, Café Vasona, and 69’s new Free Meal Program, setting an uplifting tone for the year ahead.

President Jennifer Taylor-Mendoza inspired us to embrace the theme “All In, All Win” urging our community to shift from me to we. She emphasized, “competition without collaboration is a race to the bottom,” and that partnership and ethical decision-making support both student success and institutional strength.

Dean of Institutional Effectiveness & Research Shusaku Horibe and Pulitzer Prize–winning author Dr. Viet Thanh Nguyen delivered compelling presentations on the power of storytelling. Horibe introduced accreditation as an avenue to tell 69’s story, while Nguyen challenged participants to discover their voice and use narrative to shape an inclusive future for students.

Associated Students of 69 President Miranda Kawamoto outlined student government’s priorities: strengthening communication, expanding participation in events, creating accessible leadership opportunities, and collaborating with campus partners to better meet student needs.

Over lunch provided by our new food partner, Thomas Cuisine, our community united to reflect on the day’s themes and collaborate on collective goals. All College Day reminded us that strength lies in collaboration. When we move forward together, everyone wins.
