Course Description
This course provides overviews of the historical and political events of Shakespeare鈥檚 age, the religious and philosophical ideas of the Early Modern period, and modern critical approaches to Shakespeare鈥檚 works. In addition, students in this course have the opportunity to evaluate and critically analyze a selection of Shakespeare鈥檚 major plays and poetry.
